We were sorry to hear of the passing of members of the Society.

 

Phoebe Bowen

Phoebe Bowen, the mother of Society member Jean Hopkyns,

passed away in Wales on February 7th. Jean and Peter were with

her.

 

Michael Sinclair

SINCLAIR, Allan Colville (known as Michael) died peacefully

surrounded by his children in Lakefield, Ontario on February 25th,

at the age of 83.

 

He will be missed by his family Ian Sinclair of Toronto and

Johanna Sinclair of Peterborough, and by his grandchildren Liam,

Stefano and Sienna Sinclair and Loren Fantin, wife of Ian Sinclair

and Harold Kahler, partner of Johanna Sinclair.

 

Michael was born in Ottawa in 1926. Son of the late Robert

Colville Sinclair QC (Sinc) of Montreal. Graduate of Law from

McGill University. Arbitrator for the Federal Government.

Husband of the late Pauline Sinclair (nee Quinn).

 

Margaret Richardson

RICHARDSON, E. E. Margaret (nee Jenkins) Suddenly, on

Sunday, May 2, 2010 in her 83rd year. Beloved wife of the late K.

Grant Richardson.

 

Loving mother of Bill (Carole) of St. Catharines, Jayne Delery

(Louis) of Ottawa, and the late Anne. Proud and cherished

grandmother of Kenneth, Averleigh Freeman (Heath) and Joey

(Sabrina Cugglietta) and great-grandmother of Jacob Hughes and

soon to be baby Freeman.

 

She is also survived by her brother Rowland Jenkins (Jayne) and

her sister Mary Jenkins.

 

A service celebrating Margaret's Life will be held at St. Martin's

Anglican Church, 2120 Prince Charles Road, on Thursday, May 6,

2010 at 11 a.m. For further information please contact Tubman

Funeral Homes at 613-722-6559. For those wishing, a donation in

Margaret's memory to the Alzheimer Society or the Heart and

Stroke Foundation would be appreciated. Condolences, donations

One old Welsh family in Llandovery is very proud of its pedigree

that covers five large skins of parchment. In the middle of the third

page is a note in the margin "About this time the world was

created."
