St David’s Day Lunch Banquet

 

 

St. David, or Dewi Sant, is the patron saint of Wales.  He founded monastic settlements in

which monks had to pull the plough without draught animals, drank only water and ate only

bread with salt and herbs. Little could he imagine 1,500 years later, when his feast day would

be marked by a lunch banquet!

 

Please join us for a traditional Welsh lunch banquet and entertainment organized by the

Ottawa Welsh Society.

11:30 -12:20 pm Reception

12:30 pm Lunch Banquet

Venue: The Royal Ottawa Golf Club

1405 Aylmer Road, Gatineau, Quebec, J9H 7L2

 

The event will feature an address by Dr. Elwyn Griffiths, Director General of the

Biologics and Genetic Therapies Directorate of Health Canada, and entertainment by

Soloist Shawne Elizabeth, accompanied by Alan Thomas.

 

Cost: Early bird tickets $ 49.00 each before February 13th;  $54.00 each thereafter.

Dress code: Business casual - no jeans or cargo pants.
